Eternal Song Film–
The Mauri

Thursday 12th Feb, 6:30pm
The Hive

Mauri is an intimate, visually stunning testament to a land and a people who have survived colonization, removal, and exploitation, and to the healing ways that are part of the Māori ancestral knowledge. It juxtaposes the enduring trauma of colonization with the resilience offered through Māori ancestral healing traditions.

Greenland–The Spirit of the Land and it’s People

Friday 13th Feb, 6:30pm

Kari Herbert lived for two years as a small child with a remote community of Polar Inuit in Northwest Greenland. In this talk, Kari reflects on the spirit of Greenland and its people — exploring Inuit traditions, their spiritual and practical relationship with the land, and the quiet knowledge that comes from generations of living within a demanding environment. She also speaks to the present moment: the accelerating effects of climate change on the Arctic, the shifting ice, and the growing external pressures on Greenland’s land and resources.
